"I actually grew up in the same county Chuck Norris lived in for the last few decades. I'd like to say he was a local legend, but he was actually more like a local ghost. Zero public appearances in the county other than seeing him occasionally at local stores over decades of him living there. To the point that, honestly, most people forgot he even lived there. And everyone that tried to talk to him when they did see him said that he was somewhere between standoffish and an outright toolbag. With how insular Grimes County is, he was considered to be pretty fucking rude.
Also, his water brand is... interesting. About half the county uses the well/aquifer water. The poor half. Anyone with money in the county uses municipal water because the ground water is hard as a rock and reeks of sulfur. Hell, I still have an aversion to well water because of it, and I've had legit good well water in Medina/Bandera so its not an exposure thing. So heavily filtering that water to remove all that crap, alkalizing it, and selling it at a premium is... a choice.
I will say that the ground water in the area is plentiful, so its not really affecting anything other than his property. And there have never been land disputes on his property, which is saying something from an area heavy with them.
All-in-all, most people's interpretation of him was just that he was just another rich person that didn't like interacting with locals and kept to himself."
